Welcome to Los Aficionados de Los Angeles
Los
Aficionados de Los Angeles was founded in 1949, which makes it
"The
Oldest Bullfight Club in the United States."
The
club usually meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. Meetings
include a raffle of taurine objects, club business and a special program
such as appearances by matadors David Silveti, Raquel Martinez, Ricardo
Sanchez, Jorge Mora and Jose Ramon Tirado. Also presentations by ganaderos,
authors, artists, and special guests and members from the US, Mexico
and Spain.
Meetings
are held at:
El Paseo Inn
11 East Olvera St.
Los Angeles, CA 90012
at 7 p.m., with a no-host dinner at 6 p.m.
El Paseo
is in the Olvera
Street area near downtown Los Angeles. Anyone wishing to attend
should check for details in the the club newsletter or e-mail us. Any
aficionado living or visiting in the Los Angeles area is welcome to attend.
